If you want to take a beautiful photo, there are a lot of photography techniques and strategies you need to employ. And your camera has many settings that you can use to adapt to the environment, too. For example, you need to change the settings so that your camare can make an accommodation to different lighting conditions.
To learn and master all necesarry knowledge and skills, you can find some useful information here or on other websites, but will take time to find tips here and there, so my advice is that you take a systematic photography or buy a well-organized digital photograpy book.
After you have taken the photography course or finished reading your book, you will be able to choose you right camera. You don't need to buy the most expensive digital camera, but generally speaking, you should buy the best equipment you can afford. You will find cameras with better features do matters and this strategy will help you save money in the long run.
